Atrocity is the original chaos den — the long-running virtual pet site that started this whole “what if I just built an entire ecosystem of games” thing.
Atrocity is a browser-based virtual pet site full of weird events, seasonal theming, rotating banners, and a lot of history. It's the legacy project: old code, old systems, and years of player memories layered on top of each other.
The legacy version is kept as close to its original form as possible — glitches, quirks, and all — because that's part of its charm.
Atrocity is where I experimented with:
A lot of the ideas here eventually inspired Petcore, Feral Rise, and other newer projects.
The legacy site is in maintenance mode: still alive, still running, but not being heavily refactored. Big code changes are happening in Atrocity Reforged instead, so the original can stay as a preserved snapshot of where everything began.
Within SerraForge Studios, Atrocity is the “ancestor project” — the starting point that informs a lot of the tech, art, and design experiments across everything else.
